Our game fits into this genres and try to make it gender and age neutral. But is cooking really a gender neutral topic?

Good approach to this topic - see what your target market thinks (and wants).
In your final documentation for submission reflect on different game element and relate them to gender ... or in other words, what makes your game a unisex game.
